A laptop is necessary for the class, you’ll be able follow along and try out the new capabilities that you will be learning. There will be some lab times outside of the scheduled agenda to give you the chance to work closer with some of the instructors.
Besides that, bring lots of questions and enthusiasm to participate and help make this a great class!

Tony Lewis

Description
Prior to Co-founding Clearly IP, Tony was the COO of Sangoma Technologies. Sangoma Technologies Corporation is publicly traded on the TSX Venture Exchange (TSX VENTURE: STC). In the 4 years at Sangoma he oversaw the explosive growth of Sangoma from a stagnant 12 Million dollar a year micro cap company to over 120 Million in Revenue. He joined Sangoma through the acquisition of his former start up company called Schmooze Com Inc in 2015 which included the SIPStation and FreePBX product lines. Tony has expert knowledge of FreePBX, Asterisk and other open source platforms and their capabilities, he has taught numerous classes and speaks at international events.
Tony comes from an entrepreneurial background successfully starting and running various companies and brings a wide background in aggressive management in sales, development and marketing to Clearly IP along with a good understanding of public markets, raising capital and the selling or purchasing of complex businesses from the actual purchase and financing down to the integration of two businesses post closing. He has overseen and lead acquisitions ranging from 300 thousand to 36 million dollars ranging from simple capitalization structures to complex multi tier shareholders and stock preferences.
When he is not working, you can find him spending time with his wife and 9 kids at their summer lake cottage and tries to keep current with his Private Pilots license as his primary hobbies.
Chris Sherwood
Owner, Crosstalk Solutions
Description
Chris Sherwood (writing about myself in 3rd person here) is the owner and main workhorse of Crosstalk Solutions, a network and VoIP consulting firm, but known more widely as a YouTube channel focusing on VoIP, networking, WiFi, and security.
Chris has over 20 years of experience in project management, network administration, VoIP, legacy telephony, and security.
When it comes to FreePBX, Chris has been a community leader since about 2007 creating community documentation, and more recently video tutorials on YouTube ranging from phone and equipment reviews to full courses on many different subjects.
